RTI Express is a news and public-interest journalism initiative associated with RTI activism, investigative reporting and citizen awareness. Under the leadership of Mr. Kotlapalli Babavali, Editor-in-Chief & Publisher, RTI Express has focused on issues relating to transparency, accountability, governance and matters affecting the common public.
RTI Express brings together journalists, RTI activists, contributors and public-interest advocates with the objective of making information accessible to citizens and encouraging greater awareness of their rights and responsibilities.
The RTI Express team includes experienced media professionals, RTI activists and legal professionals who contribute to journalism, public awareness, RTI-related activities and citizen engagement. The existing team information identifies Mr. Kotlapalli Babavali as Chairman & Managing Director of RTI EXPRESS Group and Chief Editor of RTI EXPRESS News, while Mr. S. RTI SPOT NEWS is a technology-enabled breaking-news and hyperlocal digital news platform established through a collaborative partnership involving media, technology and strategic leadership. The platform is designed to enable reporters, contributors and editors to submit, process, verify, edit, publish and distribute news through digital channels.
RTI SPOT NEWS focuses on breaking news, local and regional news, reporter-generated content, editor-reviewed content, photographs, videos, audio reports, location-based news, news alerts and multilingual digital content. The platform is being developed with technology features intended to improve the speed, accessibility and efficiency of news reporting and publishing.
The platform also has a technology roadmap that may incorporate AI-assisted content preparation, automated headlines and summaries, multimedia processing, text-to-speech, speech-to-text, multilingual translation, news categorization, duplicate-story detection, live-event timelines and intelligent search. AI-assisted outputs are intended to remain subject to appropriate editorial review and human oversight.
Our approach to breaking news
RTI SPOT NEWS is designed around a reporter-to-editor-to-reader workflow, where developing information can be submitted by authorized contributors and processed through an editorial system before publication.
The platform may distinguish between verified news, developing reports, reporter-submitted content, editor-reviewed content, corrected content and sponsored/promotional content, helping readers understand the status and nature of published information.
The platform's live-event architecture is also intended to allow multiple updates concerning the same incident or event to be maintained as a continuing story, including subsequent verified updates, photographs, official statements and corrections.

As Chairman & Managing Director of RTI EXPRESS Group and Chief Editor of RTI EXPRESS News, he has contributed to investigative reporting and RTI-based public-interest journalism. He also leads initiatives aimed at developing RTI awareness and citizen participation.
For RTI SPOT NEWS, his responsibilities principally include business development, media outreach, marketing, promotion, public relations, reporter and editor network development, advertiser relationships and commercial expansion.
